We Protect

Children with Disabilities

Angel’s Home is a facility dedicated to safeguarding, rehabilitating, and providing support to children with both mental and physical disabilities, as well as individuals who are socially marginalized and vulnerable. We cater to a diverse range of people, whether they have disabilities or not, by offering a wide array of services that cater to people of all age groups who have complex disabilities and vulnerabilities. Our primary goal is to address the immediate needs of those in profound crisis and empower them to lead a life of dignity. We firmly believe that every individual, regardless of their disability status, deserves the right to life and leisure, and should be regarded as an equal member of society to the best of their abilities. Consequently, our focus is on comprehending and enhancing the capabilities of our beneficiaries within their specific circumstances, all while creating opportunities for the inclusion of persons with disabilities and vulnerabilities, ensuring that they are not left behind.

We serve people with the greatest humanitarian need. The beneficiaries of our services are the most marginalized people of our society, who are the neediest of the needy; which includes the disabled, orphans, women, addicts, elderly, affected by war, trauma, violence, and others.

There is actually a dire need for care centers where such people are not only treated and kept for a few hours daily but can live their lives peacefully knowing that they will not be thrown away on streets or handed over to mental asylums but actually be provided with life-long tailored physical arrangements and custom made services to lead a dignified life.

The people we work for and with are at the heart of our work and we intend to change the lives of these people for the better through timely humanitarian action.

Where we work

Angels’ Home is running and operating a new Centre for people with disabilities and vulnerabilities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Our main building stands at Chamkani Road, Peshawar. Situated near the PakistanAfghan border, Peshawar is one of the oldest cities in Asia. Despite having a rich history and being culturally vibrant it has now become a hub of complex social issues.

Service landscape at a glance
  • The estimated population of the KPK is 32.5 million.
  • As KPK neighbors Afghanistan, almost 3 million Afghan refugees reside in the province.
  • KPK has 1.75 million disabled people making it the second-highest disability prevailing province of Pakistan after Punjab.
  • KPK has recorded a total of 395 terrorism-related fatalities, including 190 terrorists, 175 security forces personnel, and 30 civilians, in the current year, so far. For every person killed in warfare, three are injured and acquire a permanent form of disability.
  •  Male laborers belonging to Dist. Peshawar of age group 21-30 (33.4%) endure injuries and accidents that lead to disability. Up to a quarter of disabilities result from injuries and violence, says WHO.
  •  The easy access to opium and drugs through the Afghan border has added to the prevailing problems; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has the highest number of drug users in the country as 10.9 percent of its residents have used an illicit substance.
  •  Peshawar is the country’s second poorest provincial capital after Quetta, Balochistan. The poverty rate of Peshawar is staggeringly high at 31%.
  •  Peshawar has the highest ratio of poliovirus detected in environmental samples collected from all over Pakistan in 2023. WHO had already declared Peshawar as the world’s largest reservoir of Polio.
There is a pronounced lack of Care Centres, rehabilitating mainstreaming, and specialized services for Persons with Disabilities and vulnerable people. therefore; to alleviate the sufferings of the most marginalized and provide services to the overlooked people of society, Angels’ Home has established a Centre for the people with disabilities and vulnerabilities in KPK and intends to serve Punjab and Federal from our flagship center.

Join Hands

Angel's Home, a non-profit organization, relies entirely on humanitarian support, including financial contributions, donations, charities, and Zakat. Since the opening of our new facility, we have faced complex challenges, receiving numerous admission requests from both rural and urban areas in KPK Southern Punjab and Federal. We receive daily admission requests through calls and walk-in visitors. However, coping with rising inflation rates has created a pressing financial need for Angel's Home. Despite our financial constraints, our dedication to serving those in need remains unwavering. We remain optimistic that compassionate individuals will step forward to provide reliable funding sources to alleviate the suffering of these children.

Founded in 2022, Angel's Home is a Peshawar, Pakistan based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) committed to alleviate the sufferings of disabled, disadvantaged people.
